This two-day course is designed to equip new and current case manager support employees with basic tools necessary to be successful in their position as a member of an integrated primary care team. The training will feature key success components such as positive communication, customer service, critical thinking skills and professionalism. The basic principles of motivational interviewing are introduced and modeled. This interactive class will consist of large group discussion taught by subject matter experts as well as small group practice with realistic scenarios. You will take away practical skills to improve communication within a team-based setting and with patients (known as customer-owners in Southcentral Foundation’s Nuka System of Care).
