Dr. Matthew Hirschfeld, MD, PhD

Throughout his career, Dr. Matt Hirschfeld has been committed to improving healthcare across Alaska. He has been instrumental in expanding access to healthcare services for Alaska Native women and children across the state through his work at Alaska Native Medical Center and on various nonprofit boards, including the All Alaska Pediatric Partnership. In his current role, he oversees a broad range of services including dental, pharmacy, obstetrics and gynecology, radiology, detox, specialty pediatrics, and other specialty care. Dr. Hirschfeld serves on the leadership team at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska, which is jointly owned and managed by Southcentral Foundation and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. He is also a practicing pediatrician, and he has been providing care to children and adolescents at Alaska Native Medical Center and Norton Sound Health Corporation since 2005.
