Southcentral Foundation is hosting training opportunities in late October. SCF is hosting two trainings from October 24-26: Behavioral Health Integration and Integrated Primary Care Team.
It can often be difficult to provide quality health care in remote locations, and behavioral health is no exception to this. Southcentral Foundation has a considerable amount of experience with this; in addition to providing health care services for customer-owners in Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, SCF is also responsible for providing care in 55 rural villages in the Anchorage Service Unit.
Dr. Jerome Adams, the United States Surgeon General, visited Southcentral Foundation this week. Dr. Adams toured the Benteh Nuutah Valley Native Primary Care Center, the Alaska Native Medical Center, and the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center.
