Southcentral Foundation’s Virtual Nuka Winter Conference 2021
We are hosting a Virtual Nuka Winter Conference on Feb. 8-10! This conference is an opportunity for you to learn best practices from Southcentral Foundation’s two-time Malcolm Baldrige Award-winning Nuka System of Care. It will feature a keynote from SCF’s Interim CEO April Kyle, as well as live sessions with Nuka subject matter experts on a variety of topics, including:
- Integrated Care Teams
- Behavioral Health Integration
- Strategic Planning
- Workforce Development
- Engaging the Community
- Rural Health Care and Telemedicine
- Medication-Assisted Treatment and Integrated Psychiatry
- Data Management
- The Baldrige Framework
The conference will include a live tour of SCF’s Anchorage Native Primary Care Center, with opportunities for viewers to ask questions during the tour. It will also include a demonstration of SCF’s Learning Circles (which are a form of group therapy based on the Alaska Native value of sharing story and listening to others share theirs).
Although the conference will be a live experience, where participants are able to ask questions of presenters at the end of the sessions, recordings of sessions will be available for those who are not able to join live. More information, including the agenda, is available here. We hope to “see you” this winter, and we’re confident it will be an informative and valuable experience!
