Derek Feeley: Keynote Speaker at 9th Annual Nuka System of Care Conference
Registrations are open for Southcentral Foundation’s 9th Annual Nuka System of Care Conference! SCF is excited to welcome attendees from around the world to learn how our Nuka System of Care has improved health outcomes, reduced costs, and improved customer satisfaction. Sessions will be available on many different aspects of SCF’s Nuka System of Care, including medical health, behavioral health, Tribal services, health care support, and more.
Keynote Speaker IHI President/CEO Derek Feeley
However, in addition to the sessions SCF always offers at Nuka System of Care conferences, SCF is happy to host leaders and innovators in the health care industry as guest speakers. One of this year’s keynote speakers is Derek Feeley, President and CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Prior to becoming President and CEO, Mr. Feeley served as IHI’s Executive Vice President, during which time he had executive-level responsibility for driving IHI’s strategy in five focus areas: Improvement Capability; Person- and Family-Centered Care; Patient Safety; Quality, Cost, and Value; and the Triple Aim. Mr. Feeley has previously served as Director General for Health and Social Care in the Scottish Government and Chief Executive of the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland. SCF has had a long relationship with IHI, and we are looking forward to hearing Mr. Feeley share his expertise in health care innovation at the Nuka System of Care Conference.
Keynote Speaker SCF President/CEO Katherine Gottlieb
SCF President/CEO Katherine Gottlieb will also deliver a keynote speech at the conference. Ms. Gottlieb has served as SCF’s President/CEO since 1991, working alongside the Alaska Native community to transform the health care system and establish the Nuka System of Care. Under her direction, SCF has become a leader among the nation’s health care organizations, twice winning the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for performance excellence, in 2011 and 2017.
