Returning to the In-Person Nuka Conference

Southcentral Foundation’s Virtual Nuka Conference has concluded, and we would like to thank everyone who attended. We appreciated having the opportunity to share the story of the Nuka System of Care, and our successes and lessons learned our decades of providing health care for Alaska Native people. Now, SCF is excited to announce that we will be hosting an in-person conference from June 13-17, 2022!

This in-person Nuka Conference will tell the story of how SCF became a two-time Baldrige Award-winning organization by partnering with the Native community to build a high-quality relationship-based health care system. Sessions will cover topics such as building and maintaining integrated care teams (including a session on SCF’s new Integrated Care Teams Playbook), behavioral health integration, data collection and usage, strategic planning, trauma-informed care, improvement and innovation, and more.

A pre-conference workshop of SCF’s Core Concepts is also available. Core Concepts is a three-day training that teaches the communication and relationship-building skills that SCF’s providers use to support customer-owners in achieving wellness. The pre-conference workshop will be from June 13 to 15, with the general conference following on June 16 and 17. General conference registration will include a cultural and networking reception, as well as opportunities for hiking or a scenic drive in beautiful Southcentral Alaska. Breakfast and lunch are provided for all days of both the pre-conference workshop and the general conference.

Registration for the in-person Nuka Conference will open soon, so sign up here to receive a notification. We hope to see you in Anchorage, Alaska for the Nuka Conference in June!
