Southcentral Foundation’s Operational Principles

Southcentral Foundation’s Vision:

A Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

Southcentral Foundation’s Mission:

Working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services.

Southcentral Foundation is continually striving to realize its vision and execute its mission, and is assisted in this by several elements of its corporate structure. One of these is SCF’s Operational Principles, which are as follows:

Operational Principles (RELATIONSHIPS)

  • SCF's Operational Principles - RELATIONSHIPS

The Operational Principles were adopted after listening to feedback from the customer-owners SCF serves and hearing what they wanted from their health care system. They define characteristics of the relationship-based Nuka System of Care, and guide process and system redesign, as well as employee actions and behaviors, throughout the organization. They help shape every aspect of organizational life. One way that new ideas at SCF are evaluated is by determining whether they are in alignment with the Operational Principles.

In summary, the Operational Principles are a set of guidelines that come from customer-owners, and ensure that SCF is operating and developing in ways that meet their needs and desires for the organization.
