Save the Date for 2023!
With the 2022 Nuka Conference behind us, Southcentral Foundation would like to thank those who joined us in Anchorage to learn about SCF’s Nuka System of Care. The conference was attended by over 100 people from all over the world and featured a variety of sessions on many different aspects of SCF’s Nuka System of Care, including integrated care, customer-ownership, behavioral health integration, workforce best practices, improvement and innovation, and more. The conference was preceded by a session of SCF’s Core Concepts training, which was attended by over 70 people.
Feedback from conference attendees was positive. When attendees were surveyed for feedback, 87% answered “very much so” when asked if they aspire to do something differently, professionally or personally, as a result of a session they attended. A further 11% answered “somewhat” to the same question. 98% of survey respondents answered that the conference exceeded or matched their expectations.
Comments from attendees included:
“Such a dynamic presence. Felt the energy and appreciated the life examples connecting to operational activities.”
“It was so energetic and relatable. I also feel like I took some golden pieces of information away that will improve my teams retention rate.”
“Covered so much ground. Appreciated seeing the journey of improvement at SCF.”
SCF is grateful for the opportunity to share the story of the Nuka System of Care with so many people from around the world. If you would like information on any of the topics covered at the conference, or about future events hosted by SCF, feel free to contact the SCF Learning Institute.
Core Concepts Pre-Conference Workshop (June 12-14, 2023)
Southcentral Foundation’s Core Concepts is a three-day, intensive communication and relationship-building workshop. The lessons in Introduction to Core Concepts are derived from Alaska Native values of sharing story and listening to others share theirs, and have helped bring SCF’s system of relationship-based care to national and international recognition for high quality health care. In this workshop, you will recognize the importance of relationships and personal connection within SCF’s Nuka System of Care, demonstrate how to share and respond to story, and create an environment for improved communication and relationships through shared vision. The pre-conference welcomes you into a small learning circle as an interactive participant for SCF’s three-day Core Concepts Workshop, where communication techniques and tools are taught as a foundation for building and maintaining effective relationships.
